So yet again I decide to look around for some shoe, coat and hat storage. Of course there are loads to choose from, but where would be the fun in that !?!
So here is the very tired, scuff marked entry way:

Yet again I decided to have a go at building something. After having built my boys bed from the EXPEDIT units I realised that the plastic storage boxes that go inside, the Lekman boxes, were perfect for storing shoes!!
So after hunting around through the pile of timber that I seem to have lying around from the demolition of the kids old beds, I built a cabinet in preparation:
I realised there would still be some work involved!!
Next came a top of some sort. Again I had some timber left over from work that used to be a packing crate!!

My next task was to join the two pieces together. Out comes the trusty biscuit cutter on my router.

So biscuit joints cut, glued and stuck together:
Now came the coat rack. I did some online searching. (Google my saviour!!) I found a few designs that I like and came up with an idea. Unfortunately I got so focused on getting the porch done in the week that I had off, I didn't take many photos!
